Rylee Swails

Rylee Swails is a communications and public relations professional with experience spanning media relations, digital strategy, content creation, and stakeholder engagement across nonprofit, government, higher education and agency environments. Most recently, she served as a Media Operations Associate at Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy, where she supported a high-profile client through comprehensive news monitoring, media research, and timely briefings on public events, and emerging issues.

Before her role at Ceisler, Rylee worked as a Communications Specialist for the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. In this position, she managed statewide digital communications, led website and database updates, produced organizational publications, and supported chapter leaders through training, outreach and technical assistance. She also oversaw social media strategy and mass email communications.

Rylee previously strengthened her expertise in storytelling and digital engagement through roles in higher education and agency settings. As a Content Creator for Shippensburg University’s Department of Communication, Journalism & Media, she managed departmental social media channels and highlighted student achievements, opportunities and campus initiatives. During her time as a Public Relations Intern at La Torre Communications, she drafted press releases and articles, pitched stories to the media, managed multi‑client social media calendars and supported on‑site client events.

She also gained government communications experience as a Press Intern for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, where she managed high‑visibility social media accounts during the PA Farm Show and produced vendor features and evergreen content. Earlier in her career, Rylee served as a Marketing Assistant at Sellers Dorsey, contributing to website updates, social media content, and cross‑departmental marketing initiatives.

Rylee holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Journalism & Media with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing from Shippensburg University, where she graduated cum laude. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Strategic Communication at Shippensburg University.
